I hope this message finds you well.
I’m reaching out to share an important update regarding your investment portfolio with
Monarch.
Over the past three months, our team has been diligently working behind the scenes to
develop a refreshed set of model portfolios. We are now in the final stages of this
process, and these new models will begin rolling out over the next month. All client
accounts currently aligned with our model portfolios will be transitioned accordingly.
Please note that this change does not apply to RESP, RDSP, or FHSA accounts.
These portfolios have been carefully designed by Kyle and myself, specifically for our
clients, and will be reviewed and adjusted on a quarterly basis moving forward to ensure
they remain aligned with market conditions and your long-term goals.
We also want to take a moment to acknowledge recent performance. While our
previous models performed strongly in 2022—particularly in terms of downside
protection—they delivered more modest results in 2023 and 2024, and have
underperformed in 2025 relative to broader benchmarks. While overall performance this
year has been reasonable, it has not met the standard I set for our portfolios. I take this
seriously, and in response, have made the strategic decision to evolve our approach to
better align with today’s dynamic and rapidly changing markets.
There will be no transaction fees or additional costs associated with the transition to
these new models.
Above all, this change reflects our ongoing commitment to you. We deeply value the
trust you’ve placed in us and remain focused on delivering the best possible outcomes.
While no strategy is ever flawless, our promise to you is to remain proactive,
transparent, and fully invested in your success.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or
would like to learn more about the new portfolios, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We’ll also be sharing back-tested performance data on the updated models
shortly—and I’m confident you’ll be excited about the direction we’re heading.
Talk Soon,
