Spear Financial Brand Retirement

Just a quick email to let you know that I have decided to retire the “Spear Financial” brand.

It was honestly confusing for clients. Spear Financial is my own professional corporation, and my own personal brand (much like how Advisors will call themselves the “John Doe Team at RBC Wealth” for example) but ultimately I am licensed through Monarch Wealth, who is my registered securities dealer here in Canada.

Your investments are held through Monarch Wealth, who is CDIC-insured and a CIPF member (Canadian Investor Protection Fund – CIPF Mutual Fund Dealer Member Firms ) as are all investment dealers in Canada. The exact same as the big banks, or other independent firms.

Clients were often confused as to who was Monarch and who was Spear Financial. We’ve decided to eliminate that confusion.

Since this is simply the removal of my own personal brand, there is no change to you. No change to your accounts or statements. Your investments remain exactly as they were.

The only thing that will change is you will start to see the Monarch Wealth brand instead of the Spear Financial brand.
